Facelift Surgery

Longing for a tighter smoother face?
It is common for the skin to lose elasticity due to ageing. Thus resulting in sagging, skin folds and wrinkles.

Though facelift surgery won’t stop you from ageing, it is a great way to reduce the appearance of wrinkles on the face and neck while also removing any excess fat in the jowl area. Our facelift procedures are designed to lift the cheekbones. When combined with our other aesthetic procedures, it can help you look younger and leave your face feeling refreshed.

Benefits of a facelift

  • Reduces wrinkles and skin folds (You’ll look younger)
  • Boost confidence and self-esteem (You’ll feel fab)

Frequently Asked Questions (Our FAQs)

Should I lose weight before my facelift?

Losing weight prior to surgery will allow the surgeon to remove more skin. This is known to give a better and more drastic result.

How will my facelift be administered?

Incisions will be made in the scalp from above the ears to behind the ears, the skin will be peeled back, and the muscles that cause sagging will be lifted using special stitches. Any excess skin will be removed from the temporal region, and the cheeks and chin will be tightened. If this is the only treatment you are receiving, you will be discharged on the same day.
This procedure is performed under general anaesthetic in our fully equipped operating rooms and usually takes two and a half hours to complete.

What will happen before facelift surgery?

Before your surgery, you will have a consultation with your doctor where you will be able to discuss the process, as well as your expectations to ensure your understanding of the surgery and its possible results.

Will my facelift surgery scar?

A small scar will be left in the temporal region is usually visible after surgery, along with a 2-5millimetre scar under the chin. These scars will not be visible from afar and are relatively easy to cover up.

What happens after facelift surgery?

Following the surgery, expect some bruising, swelling, and often tightness will occur.
You may have tubes to drain out excess fluids which are usually removed before you go home. Any dressing and bandages will be removed after two days, while stitches are generally removed between 5-7 days post surgery. Once the bandages and stitches have been removed, you will be cleared to return to your usual routine. However, we recommend avoiding heavy exercise and eternal blows. Additionally, male patients should avoid shaving for two to three weeks following the procedure.

Are there any side-effects of facelift surgery?

Common side-effects include:

  • Swelling and bruising around the face.
  • Numbness in the cheeks or ears.
  • Lifted hairline (epecially around the bearded area)
Can I receive this treatment more than once?

Our facelift procedures will leave your face looking naturally youthful for years to come. However, ageing may cause your tight skin to loosen again over time. You will be able to receive this treatment again between five and ten years after the initial procedure.
